Autumn has arrived at The Bell Hotel, and with it comes a fresh menu that’s full of character and local flavour. Whether you’re popping in for lunch or settling in for a relaxed evening meal, our new menu brings together familiar favourites and a few clever twists, all with The Bell’s unmistakable touch.

The starters offer a mix of well-loved classics and more playful combinations, think prawn cocktail done properly, or beetroot tart with crisp Baron Bigod cheese balls. Mains range from roast cod with bourguignon sauce to Blythburgh pork belly with chorizo and butter bean cassoulet. There’s also a proper dry-aged steak for those who like things classic, and a Goan curry for those who don’t.

Desserts are just as inviting, think banana bread pudding with Suffolk Meadow honeycomb ice cream, or an autumn pavlova with roast apples and maple cream. If you’re after something lighter, there’s always affogato or a scoop of local ice cream.

The Market Menu is still available Monday to Saturday for lunch and early evening. It’s a great way to enjoy a changing selection of dishes at a relaxed pace, with two (£23) or three (£27) courses on offer and plenty of variety week to week.

General Manager Ashley Beale says: ““The Bell has always been about great food, good company, and a real welcome. This autumn’s menu reflects everything we love – local ingredients, thoughtful cooking, and a few unexpected touches that make it feel special without being fussy. Whether you’re here for a quick lunch, a relaxed dinner, or just a catch-up over pudding and coffee, we want people to feel looked after. That’s what The Bell does best.”

Tables are available to book now. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you.
