We’re delighted to share that we’ve expanded our boutique accommodation here at The Bell in Saxmundham, with four beautiful new guest rooms now open. This takes us from ten rooms to fourteen, a development driven by our consistently high occupancy and the growing number of guests looking for a stylish, comfortable base in the heart of coastal Suffolk.

Our new rooms, Butley, a spacious double; Deben, a classic double; Blyth, another classic double; and Minsmere, a classic twin, all continue our commitment to celebrating the Suffolk landscape. Each one is inspired by the place it’s named after, with colours, textures and finishes drawn from the rivers, heaths and coastline that surround us.

Working once again with Cotton Tree Interiors, we’ve extended our much‑loved “bring the outside in” aesthetic. Soft coastal tones, thoughtful design details and layered textures create the contemporary yet warmly inviting atmosphere that has become central to who we are. Alongside the guest rooms, we’ve also completed two new staff rooms to support our growing team.

Since opening in 2022, The Bell has been fortunate to receive wonderful feedback for both our design and our hospitality. We’re proud to have earned TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards for the past two years, placing us among the top 10% of hotels worldwide.

As Andrew Beale, Managing Director of Beales Hotels and owner of The Bell, puts it:

“The response to The Bell since we opened has been remarkable, and the demand for rooms has far exceeded our expectations. These new additions allow us to welcome even more guests while staying true to the character and spirit of the hotel. Cotton Tree Interiors have once again created something genuinely special, rooms that feel rooted in Suffolk’s landscape yet offer all the comfort and quality our guests expect. We’re delighted to be growing and continuing to invest in the town and the region.”
